Customs 4" chop update

Just an update on my chopping progress. The A pillars are set and the rear C pillar are tack welded. The window line looks good. The rear window will take some time setting up.

Had some time to work on the car!!!! Put the posts back in place and started to renew the rear deck skin. Takes alot of time.........

Looks good so far. Now, push it outside stand waaaay back and make sure you still like it. It is hard to make sure you have the profile you want inside teh garage. (take lots of pics too.)

Subscribed...Chopped Mercs are cool!!!

 

The Merc is finally piecing together quite well. An hour here and there almost every day. What is left ? The 2 door tops to be cut, fitted and welded and final welding on all the tacked in areas! I am hoping that all the chop work will be done and the nose put back together for the paint booth sometime in the middle of July...we'll see.

 

It looks awesome so far...nice job!!

Actually drove the Merc around the block today!!!!!!!!!

 

What else to do than grind welds for a few hours on Saturday!!!
The chop is coming along.....I want to finish up all the welding/grinding and then start on the door tops.
