My dad has been gone a few years but lucky for me, he lived long enough for us to be best friends. Late 1930's, Marshfield, Oregon, near Coos Bay. 1953 Lindsay California. Mom and dad before I came along. In front of his 39 Merc that burned a year later. He had some cool cars but always bought them 'done'. His p***ion turned to outboard boat racing in the early 1960's 1961 Gold Beach Oregon. He had a unique way of teaching life's lessons to me without me knowing. I use those lessons nearly every day. My dad fought alcoholism his entire life and that's what killed him. I miss 'ya Dad.......
The lessons my father taught me are always with me here are two : Never be afraid try and fail that is lifes best teacher , Treat others the way you what to be treated. I learned this while watching him do just that . He has been gone 5 years now and I miss him every day but I know keeps a check on me . Rob.
