  5. prices are in aussie dollars and concidering that we're at or above parody at the moment and the prices havent reflected that, yes you do hafta be fairly good with money (i would'nt say filthy rich but just smart). and the v twin is a cut down SBF just made for shits and giggles and to have people scratchin their heads (dose'nt really serve any pourpose). he just takes it round to swap meets and car shows, you should see the crowd it pulls:D

You guys down under have some nice stuff but the prices are up there. The guy with the scooter and wagon crap is about as bad as some of our swapmeets with the lazy ass people riding around in golf carts, just lucky at the local meet the sign says no golf carts allowed.

  9. The reason the prices are 'up there' is because as we dont have a great amount of all that cool stuff here -Hemi's, Halibrand quick change diffs etc. If it's rare and in demand, I guess it's expensive. H.R.D. Lookin forward to the Fridge this weekend.

The last time I was in hospital the HAMB, ebay and craigslist kept me sane and sure helped the time pass quicker. My laptop is my friend.

  12. Oh Dear, I have been told off by photo bucket for trying to entertain you folks with my swap meet pictures. They tell me that they will be available for veiwing again on the 29th of this month, so come back then. I think I have exceeded the limit of uploading.
So post away guys with your swap meet photos , to give an international flavour to this thread. If you read the first post on this thread you will see that it is for a good cause, mainly to keep swapmeet people/hambers entertained and something 'swapmeetish'to look at while there are no swapmeets or you can't get to one for whatever reason.

Show us your swap photos from:
    • Australia
    • United States
    • U.K.
    • Canada
    • Sweden (do they have swapmeets in Sweden?)
    • Any where else
Does any one know where & when the first car part swap meet was held?

Does any one know why swapmeets traditionally start really early on Sunday mornings, say 6.00 am- 7.00 am??

  13. Here are some snaps from the 'Fridge' swap meet held at Ballarat, Victoria just last weekend. As usual, as cold as ever. All I bought were these 6 books. Oddly enough, I bought them off of my old friend who just happens to live 15 miles up the road from me,although the swap meet was a 8 hour drive from home.
