Well they are going up now, when they're all up I'll post a link to a thread where I tell the story & show the pics.
Friday ended bad because my new gas tank didn't come in so I had to drive the Tahoe. Jeff told me that would work out because they needed someone to haul all of the Ice chest. So my part in the run was I drove the chuck wagon. I had an absoulte blast and I can't wait to see the pictures. My highlight; when Voodoo Jim threw me his keys to his coupe and I got to drive through my favorite p*** along the Flint Hills. I thought that I was flying down highway 99, the Speedometer said 70 plus but reality I was only going 55. Thats ok, in my mind I thought that I was as bad a Jim. I'm Crazy about a Mercury but one of these days I got to get me a Hot Rod. Thanks Jim! I appreciate Fink'd letting me tag along, it was good therapy. Looking forward to the pics Travis. Happy Trails, Mick
thats so cool, hope i'm runnin on four wheels and i can make it down for the run next year! looks like so much fun!
Yesterday at my family Fathers day get together, they asked what car show that I went to. When I told them what we did (my family are not car people) they just didn't get it. They thought we were nuts spending the day driving around Kansas. This is great therapy Hopefully you wil be able to attend the next one. Hopefully this fall. Happy Trails, Mick
WATTA BLAST! Last 10 miles was exciting, heavy rain and hail, had to drive with my head out the window following the yellow lines while travis was hanging out his window watching the white lines, could not see anything out of the windshield! Getting my head hit by hail, travis " YOUR WAY, MY WAY" me WHAT? Can't hear ya! Damn that was fun!
What a great time!!!!!!!!!! Ate too much drove hard got in a monsoooooon! It just doesn't get any better than that! Sure was glad I wasn't B-Scott he had to have one hell of a trip home.
Had a great time sure was alot of fun getting out and driving instead of just sitting. Count me in for the next one. Had to leave a little early and haven't had a chance to talk to Jack and Steve but sounds like it may have been a good thing that I did have to leave early. Great pictures Travis thanks for sharing!
I was wondering if your trip home was ok. Now we can laugh at the "YOUR WAY, MY WAY" me WHAT? Can't hear ya! comments. Had a blast looking forward to the next trip. Travis took some good pictures of ya starting your car. Ahhhh good times! I was praying for everyone, driving through that in a roadster would not be kool. Speaking of Kool, I loved following behind yathe '58 Ford. Love watching it going down the road. I was wondering what happen too ya. I had the best seat in the house watching ya guys rolling down the road. Glad that you had a good time. I spent about a hour under a Car Wash in Caney watching hail and funnel clouds going over my house. Weather was getting a little bit out of control. Happy Trails, Mick
