Glad nobody was hurt bad, and my dream car is saveable ('56 2-door wagon and '34 3-window = top of my list)...

My mom gave up her license 3 years ago - I'll remember this thread, next time running her errands seems like a pain in the ass.....

Hope the frame's okay - if not, time for the next step in the evolution of the wagon.....

    I didn't catch the answer?....you wearing a belt?

I know if I took a shot like that in my caddy I'd be screwed. No belts and a lovely round thing pointing out of the steering wheel right where my chest would hit.

Really glad you're alright man. That could have been a lot worse.

Good insurance. Good repairs. Good luck. Looking forward to seeing it back on the road.

How you doing today? Any bad body pains?..not just sore...you know what I"m tlaking about.

  3. Damn, sorry to see that! I hope you are OK, What hit the side window? Hope it wasn/t your head. Damn that would hurt. I can;t believe the morons that are on the road anymore. The schools budgets were cut so bad that they took away drivers training. Smart Move!!!! Ha!

  4. That right there has to be my biggest fear. I could imagine what I would do when I got out of the car. Good to hear you are alright.

I think I may have a complete radiator core support if you want it.

Fortunately you saw her and bought yourself enough room to keep from taking the direct hit. Did time slow down?
Do not be reasonable with the insurance people. I learned the hard way that being cooperative and "just wanting to resolve the matter" is interpreted by them to mean "fuck me over".
    They are all weasels.

Yeah, those forearms, neck and back take up lots of force when you have time to tense up. See you Dr. and take time to document everything.

Glad to know that you are doing alright.

Absolutely document all medical related items, every doctor visit, missed time from work, rental car, time spent getting damage estimates, etc. Basically document anything that costs you time or money due to this person's negligence.
