I have a buddy that sent a bumper and push guards from a 51 Mercury to a "chroming" outfit on Covina Parkway and never got his pieces back. They also kept his deposit in the deal. We ran into the guy at the Chickasha, OK swap meet in October that was operating a vendor's booth. My friend gave him a bumper core and the push guards along with a deposit. He did get the re-chromed bumper back within a short time and the work was good...but...it appears that he might have been taken on the rest of it. The guy will not answer any of his calls or e-mails. The guy delivered a couple of re-chromed bumpers back to some of the vendors that had a space near ours. The work looked good and they told us that the person was reputable............ If anyone knows anything about the business known simply as "Chrome" please get in touch with me.
It is a little old, a year later. Looks like I'm getting screwed right now. Lost my bumper guards on the back of my 55 Ford wagon.
