My bosses name was Bob Ross he was a real good guy.It's hard to loose a guy like him he was only 62.I mention him on here cause he was a to the bone gearhead.He started working when he was young at Ladds porting service and was good friends with Bill and Dave Coleman.He would tell mt stories about those days that were funny as hell.Like one time they were all drunk as hell and spent the evening shoting bottle rockets across Route 1 at the motel across from Colemans.He built his own FED.He started with a small block then he got bored with that and bought a car to get the 392 to build.He did this and built the trailer to hall it.He was good friends with Earl Howard he is the guy that drove the Coleman brothers speed shop RED in 1959.Look up the pics here on the HAMB his name is on the side.He hired me when I was 18 and thought me so so much about metal fab,how to treat others,and life. He made one of his life goals and got his pilots license and was co owner of his own plane.The only bad part was he got so sick he could not as much as he wanted.He did take me up and we had a blast and he would not take any monet for fuel.He was a good man and Dad to his kids I run his shop now in his memory.There is not a week goes but that someone calls just say they miss him and to shoot the breeze.He started his buisness on hid own in his ba*****t of his house and built from there.All on his own at first.He grew up in the 60's and saw ever well known band of the day and he told about all those.When I had my T bucket he loved when i brought it to work and would let me make parts for it all the time.His brother is a wild man and and has his head up his **** sometimes but Bob always kept him working when others tols him to let hid brother go.I miss my boss and friend he was nice guy and honest not then many left anymore.I will shut now just hate to lose another ols school buy;
My thoughts and prayers go out to you. May Bob rest in peace it sounds like he was a really great guy and a great friend.
