I ask once a year or so. Anyone have plans for a Dragmaster Dart?

I am looking for a set of early Dragmaster Dart styled blueprints.

I have a old magazine with some pics of them building it

    talk about basic ..

If you need it, I'll dig it up and mail it to you ..but, don't think it would help much other than to fuel the fire

Try Dode Martin in Fallbrook CA. I understand that he works with guys restoring old DM cars. Dragmaster is still at the same location in Carlsbad CA.

    I'lll bump too.

Just because I'd like to see some plans/blueprints too.

If they ever show up I'd be more than glad to convert them to AutocCAD....

  6. Someone should just find an old car, draw up some plans that include updates, and then sell the plans. Maybe work with Dode Martin so you're not profiting off his idea...

Maybe you should just call him, Chris. He worked with that one guy to build a replica. It's a bad-*** mama-jamma... I think there is a pic in the new GG Gazette... or maybe that was their yearbook. I'll try to find a pic.

I have access to an NOS frame but it is real inconvenient to get to. The guy has it locked up in a warehouse that he never goes to...blah blah blah. If he would let me borrow it for a while......I would make plans and GIVE them away.

Back to the top and I'd love an AutoCAD copy if they are ever done. :D

  11. It seems that with that picture and a copy of the current rules, someone should be able to come up with a drawing.
It has the gears in my head turning.

I can draw it up on paper but I don't know **** about autocad.

Yes Ply46 that's the car. Throw a second hoop on it and go.

somewhere in my garage I have a color flyer from a company that was repopping them back in the early 90's with the second hoop (but they still looked period) somewhere in cali? I will look for it, if they aren't repopping them anymore maybe they'll sell you the blueprints etc?

Hey Shadow, I think that guy was in Ohio or Indiana. I met him at the NSRA Nats in Columbus in the late 80's.
How about pics or plans for a Dragmaster trailer.

When I was a wee lad, I had a 2 in 1 plastic model kit, 1/24th scale which featured two dragsters that look just like the one pictured. You don't suppose a guy could scale up from that do you? I still have most of it in a box of model junk in my shop.

I asked Jeff a while back, but don't remember his answer. Must not have been what I was wanting to hear, or I would have what I wanted. I'll ask again. Thanks for the memory jog!

Dode has plans hanging on the wall of his shop. He also has a full-size mock-up that's always in the way....

  23. HAMBer Frank Morawski has one in Maryland. Not hidden in a wharehouse, but not very close to you either.
I'll bet his buddy HRM2K would help you out with dimentions and a sketch.

Surprised none have shown up as they actually sold them.. Have an old catalog that has a flyer selling the prints to build your own
