    I just saw this last night on FB as I was about to hit the sack, read the whole thread on my iphone, I was glued! That is a kick*** story and looks like one hell of a car bud, enjoy!

    great wagon and a cool story, I'm still thinking I need a 57 Olds wagon in that condition if anyone stumbles across one....

    413 with a comp thumpr cam. I know that tach isn't vintage, but it's what i had lying around. It'll have the factory interior, factory color, and body color steelies with do dishes. Should be in for paint in two weeks.

    Her name is penny. The factory color is Copper glow, it'll look like a giant penny going down the road.

    I was just thinking "man, that's a lot of seat, then I saw the roof pics, man that's a lot of roof", looks awesome, neat story too :)

    PAINT! as close to the original color as we could get with modern paint. The original paint actually used crushed gl*** to get the metallic.

    wetsanding ****s. 600, 1200, 1500 then 2000.

    Should be buffed out and ready for trim and interior this weekend.

    That is the exact model of wagon we had when I was a kid. Dad bought it brand new in Indiana and drove the family out to Cali in it. Every one in the family drove it at one time or another. My brother drove it back and forth to Oregon when he was going to school. He drove it to the junkyard about 1977 when he couldn't get brake arts for it. Ours was all white and we called it the "White Elephant". Nice find, great car!
