Look completely different. '32 is more boxy and a '34 is more swoopy. '32 has more of a flat firewall and '34 has a step firewall '32 has perfectly vertical line where the hood meets the cowl and the '34 is angled '32 has a shorter wheel base then a '34 '32's doors open normal and a '34 open suicide. Totally different.
and niether are good as racecars for the salt. if you want to look cool, that's fine, if you want to go fast they are as big as a barn, but just slightly less aerodynamic.
I agree- real slow toads! 911 A/BFR ***mins-Beck-Davidson-Thornsberry, 304.606 in the mile, at Bonneville ! New record is 301.150 mph.
I agree, with that user name you must not have many visits under your belt. In addition to 911, take a look at 534 and 246. Both 33-34s and multiple record holders. There should be rule that when picking a user name you gotta have experience. If you are bvilleracer you should be one. DW
Well now, there is nothing in your profile, you don't do an intro and you call yourself Bvilleracer? Have you ever even been to the salt? By the way it's in Utah in case you are interested.
I'm suprised that nobody told him to carry his *** to the introduction side of the site , and make an intro there , that's how it usually goes when sombody drops the ball here in that instance..
Yeah - Do an intro http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44274 Pay attention and do some searching before asking something so ridiculous - Really Can't believe the replies so far. What happened to the old HAMB?
Absolutely no difference ALL cars from the 30's were manufactured by one company,,, after the depression they used different names for marketing purposes, It was hard times, and some people were ignorant to the differences...
That was a great achievement as well as a beautiful car and I'm not knocking it AT ALL...but for a newby with a name like that we should try to give him options that dont require a Trump-like pocketbook. 911 went 304 with a detuned Blown top fuel motor with 5000hp or so on 60 to 70%...again congrats for being able to put in to the ground, the 6500lbs weight was key here. To help understand my point, our car a slightly smaller yeller '23 T , went 288 into a 12mph headwind with a BBC..on gasoline..with no blower and a hair over 1000hp. I'm not at all trying to be Billy Bad*** here, just stating a 33-34 roadster makes a lousy racecar compared to the earlier cars with smaller frontal areas and if your starting from scratch and want to go fast, you have to think aero first.
Hans, I agree with you, and definately respect you opinions. Your feats speak for themselves, as do your numbers. Sometimes it's hard to convey 'tones' in these messages, that's why I added the 'wink' smiley face.
I think with this being his one and only post that he was just stirring up some ****...and it seems to have worked.
It's all good, hope to meet you at the salt this August. It's a good group of guys in the Contrivance camp and we all consider ourselves newbys out there, learning every year. Hell i spun twice last year at 250 or so in the '27, what the hell do I know!!! Hans
