I heard of the H.A.M.B at an All Camaro car show in Boise, ID. I had a booth set up displaying my custom car artwork. A man wearing an Ed Roth style caricature shirt of himself walked up to my booth, I said to him, "I like your shirt, it's very Ed Roth!" He said, "no, it's not Ed Roth, it's __________" I can't remember the artist he said drew it. After chatting with the man for a while he asked if I was a "Hammer" I said no, but tell me about it!

So here I am, I do car art for guys all over the country, and I love what I do. I'm building a '67 Chevy Shortbed Stepside pickup, it will be slammed with whitewalls, and my business logo on the door. I'm also building a chopper bicycle out of 6 or so other bikes. It will be motorized, red wheels, white walls, pinstripes and gold leaved lettering.

I hope to post some of my artwork on the Friday art show thread, I loved what I saw there so far!

I look forward to becoming a H.A.M.B junkie!

    Here's my humble Blog: www.AmesCustomDesigns.blogspot.com

Enjoy my painting done with acrylic on a scrap piece of wood I found in the trash.

Your art work is really nice.

I checked out the blog and that also is very cool.

I agree that you are very very talented.

Thanks guys! I wish I had more time to devote to the HAMB! School is keeping me more than busy, and my business has slowed down due to the homework. But I've been doing some cool new pieces and learning some cool new techniques. SO soon I'll be a regular on the Friday art show!

Ed Roth had quite a few artists working for him those years...but he took all the credit for "his" stuff...even I was asked to do stuff for him...but I was pretty stupid back in the day and declined...!!! I still do art, mostly t-shirt art...but I'm also an author.

At the risk of alienating a fellow artist, please don't try to make a '67 Stepside look fifties (if that's your intent)...it just isn't going to work..and as you've prolly read, Camaros aren't exactly welcomed here...

    FWIW, welcome to the HAMB...
