Here is a few shots of the NTBA Show:

This is a most unusual "T"... It is NOT a Ford, but a DODGE! It has a Mopar 318 for power and a mid 20's Dodge roadster body. The little round br*** emblem on the grille features a six-sided star of David with the Dodge Brothers logo.

The young man I spoke with said that he and his Father-in-Law drove it all the way from Texas to Central Ohio just for this show. He joked that the 1000 mile trip took about 1200 miles because the wind gusted them all over the road daily! He mentioned that one day crossing the plains they drove thru a constant down pour of rain for an entire day. The more T-Bucketeers we talked with the more we heard this similar story from others. I have certainly been there. ...Guess it is a case of shared misery.:)

About 30 to 50 cars were in attendance. It was tough to get a good count because the Bucket Owners were always out driving their cars. It was not at all like many car shows where the cars arrive, the lawn chairs come out, and no one moves until the trophies are awarded. These Folks REALLLLY DRIVE their cars!

This Old Gentleman drove his "T" all the way from Missouri. He is the Fella leaning on the running board with the straw Cowboy hat & suspenders. Neat Old Guy... Very friendly, tough as leather. My guess is that he may be a farmer/rancher.

He showed me photos of his other three T's. Kinda like Grand-Kids photos. Although his car was very "low-brow" I am sure no one at the show had more fun than he did! The "T" was a host of sight gags and truly a delight.

These are some detail pics of the Missouri Tub-T:

Powered by a GM Iron Duke... AKA Chevette motor... complete with blower!

The body was patched together with old cans!

Nice big Tail/Brake light so nobody crashes in the old Jewel.

Lots of others got into the act by signing it or leaving a comment with chalk.

Finally, one concession to modern imporovement:

GPS and a computer for the Weather Channel... vital information for traveling in an open top jalopy!

With the big old floppy fenders, you can't see it, but, the car rides on independent front suspension and air bags. The Old Gent said it rides really "cushy".

One other thing... The old Guy said the seats fell off a junk truck and he retrieved them off the side of the roadway!

Sorry... No other photos to offer... All most all the other cars in attendance were not HAMB friendly. I was hoping there would be other older traditional T's like Ryan posted about a week ago. I could have posted my "T" again, but it has been on here so often why be redundant...

I did meet another HAMB Brother there. "Fred" from Indianapolis. Super Cool Guy. Had a true "Survivor". Originally built in '62... re-done some time around the Bi-Centennial... well preserved and kind of a time capsule to that era. Fred said he posted his "T" on the HAMB in the past and got blasted casue it wasn't a traditional HAMB like car.

One last little story to relate... It seems when I'm out in the Jalopy some adventure/mishap/interesting event always takes place... On the way back to Columbus late that night we were looking for some place to stop for pie & coffee and to strech out legs. We wheeled into a Cracker Barrel in the midst of a cluster of hotels. We had no idea we were pulling into the host hotels for a HUGE Ford/Shelby Cobra Meet... Maybe 200 cars??? We circled the lot thinking we would take a quick look. I never would have believed it, but, there a****st all those high-profile, high-performance, high-dollar cars, my tinny little Flivver became the center of attention! We couldn't get thru without answereing questions, posing for photos and a crowd gathering around! It was very gratifying! Nice, nice bunch of Folks! Car people everywhere are Great!

If you have NTBA Pics to share, please add to this post!!!
