found some cool wheels at Dads

I was diggin around in Dads garage today and found this pair of slot mags and cheater slicks.The wheels appear to be appliance and have Pos-A-Traction Torque Master tread tires on them.The tires are cl***ic and were made at Inglewood Tire and auto Service Inc. The wheels are 4 bolt and we have no idea what they fit or where they came from. I would appreciate any info on older 4 bolt patterns.I am thinking maybe early nova?

cheater sliks are smooth cept for two maybe 3 grooves/ tread others that seem like slicks are are just bald tires

How big is Bug 4 lug pattern?These are pretty small.

 

I thinks Ford Mavericks were 4-lug also...

 

Early Mustang 6 cyl was 4 bolt as was Falcon/Comet/ Ranchero etc.
Measure across the bolts centers to tell the bolt pattern


What size are they?

 

hi i measured a wheel i had out back with a tape and i get about 4" from center to center of the holes.. could be a little less.

I just went out and measured them and they are 4 1/2 across. I am still thinking the first chevy 2s were 4 bolt.We never owned a pinto.I kind of remember Dad s****ing an early nova years ago.

Wow, those are neet-o, they flash me back to 1978 when I worked for an Appliance industries wheel distributor and they also sold Pos-a-traction tires. The wheels you have would be awesome for display on an early Nova or Mustang. Both Chevy and Ford used this bolt pattern on 6 cylinder cars. V-8's were 5 lug (4 1/2 Ford and 4 3/4 Chevy)

 

Cool tires! I have a pair of those myself, J70-15's I do believe. They have the exact tread pattern as yours but mine have a super thin whitewall stripe on one side, and a redline on the other. I run them on a pair of chrome reverse rims once in a while on my Galaxie.

 

heres my set! there 13's and the rears are wider than the fronts and there unilug so the fit pretty much everything! rare and there worth a lot as the vintage import guys eat them up as there pretty much the only 13 after market rim they made back in the day

 

62-63 Chevy II's , 60-63 Falcons & Rancheros use them.
Polish them up & you may trade or sell them easier.

 

The pair I have are also 13s. I have no use for these except for wall art so I might post them on a for sale site and see what happens.

 

We ran those on Sunbeam Tigers with a Dana 44 rear.. we would prowl the junk yards for early Mustangs to see if anyone had updated their wheels before the wreck.

 

Eccept V-8 Mavericks. They were 5-lug.
