78 Series tire on a 57 Cadillac Pros/Cons

I presently have a set of radial thin 1 inch whitewale tires on my 57 cadillac. It looks fine, but I prefer the look of the wide white on a 57. I have an opportunity to pick up some new L78 wide white tires and am considering making the change. Any comments on the use of a series 78 tire would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

Well that was about the profile of the tires tha Cad came with. Old bias were in the 80-85 profile ranges ,tall and SKINNY !!

 

they may be tall, but those Caddy's have a huge amount of space in the upper wheel well!!
