Howdy. My brother has been buggin' me to join the H.A.M.B. for awhile now, and I thought it was time. Just as the cobbler's children go barefoot, so too am I rod-less. I've been building rods and restoring cars for everyone else for over a decade now, but never had time to build my own. As I wandered through an older fella's backyard the other day looking for parts, I spotted a couple bodies not quite turned to dirt yet: a 1920 or '21 Model T Touring, and just down the hill from it sat a 1930 Model A Coupe. As I spotted the Touring T, I noticed I was standing on a Model A frame complete with axles and steering column. Now the question remained: Are the bills really THAT important? Surely they can wait a little longer, can't they? Cut a deal with the owner, dragged the T out of the woods, pulled the **** out of the A, and cut down the trees growing through the A frame. A few hours, a tank of fuel through the chainsaw, and some help from my brother, RussellMN, and MY new toys are home! I'm glad to meet y'all, and hopefully I'll be posting some progress pics soon on one of my own projects.
'Bout danged time!!! Still can't believe how cheap he sold that stuff. 2 years ago he wanted a lot more for a lot less...
