  3. Sounds kinda su****ious to me ... several/lots sold for a buck? With the price of s**** right now, I find that kinda hard to believe that someone didn't buy all of em and send them to the crusher. Easy way to make a lot of money.

Yeah, why sell a bunch of cars like that for $1 each when they could get a couple hundred each in s**** with no effort or auction fees, etc.? Does seem a bit su****ious.

My guess is the $1 is a placeholder price for sold items and they already have a s****per lined up to take the rest. That is how it usually works when they clean out yards like that. They try to get s****+ for as many cars as possible and then just bulk s**** the rest. If so, the s****per won't likely be letting any go for anywhere near the s**** value.

Maybe its just showing what the online bids were and not the actual bids at the auction then. (makes more sense)maybe not???

I'm not real sure I understand what's going on here. For 100 bucks I'd buy a red truck and drive across country to get it. What am I missing here?

The only way I would believe this is to hear from someone that actually bought one for ( $1 ) That just is either false info or a stupid seller.

Maybe it's just not recorded right, but I wouldn't doubt it was true, if no one gave a minimum bid for s**** then they very well might have sold for a buck. I was at an auction this weekend and I don't think any of the parts cars sold for more than s**** price. I bought a '57 Ford for $65 and a '55 Thunderbird for $100

You have to show up for this **** if you want to save stuff, it's crazy how cheap most of it is going when they auction it off.

PM "Dan" here on the HAMB, I believe he lives in the area and talked about going to the auction. While I doubt any of them sold for $1, buyers around here are notoriously cheap since all the old guys remember the day "when I had all that I could haul just for the askin"
