Push button or regular 3 position?

    Wiring still in progress. If you guys were in my shoes: Go original and put a 2 position keyed switch and a push ****on. Or go with a 3 position key switch and use the push ****on for something like the horn??

    My worry is my kid or I will hit push ****on and destroy the front or rear bumper.....

    Don't forget the neutral lock out either way you go off the starter wire. :eek:

    Must be a stick so a neutral switch wouldn't help?

    You should be able to wire the push ****on so it only works when the ignition is turned on.

    BTW, on my car I replaced the original 2 position 6 volt (and old) switch with a modern 3 position. I don't use the 3rd position but I replaced it because the old original switch would get hot. I'm guessing from the 12 volt conversion and all the stuff that we run nowadays.

    Right converting to 12. On this car (36 REO) the ignition powered the coil, and gauges. push ****on powered teh starter. Very bad idea if you ask me..... Maybe I could power the ****on off the key.

    should not be a problem at all to wire ****on that works only with key on power
