MAN so bummed to have to miss it. Thats my cuz in the Caddy , Hambr Itchy in the rusty F100, and Aaron in the blown 34. I don't know who is driving the Purple Oldsmobile?? Downriver was a hotbed of Kustom activiety in the mid to late 50's, Bill Hines, **** Dean, Chuck Miller just to name a few. Detroit Dragway at Sibley and Dix, man those were the days
i remember when we would go to detroit dragway with my dad when we were young. i remember going to the sears parking lot in lincoln park to see the funny cars when they were in town. man that was cool to. i still have a pic they gave out. i think it was aroud the early 70s
Thanks for the pics. You didn't get a pic of mine, but I see a few friends in the mix there. It was a great day!
Now that's a cruise. Wish we had something like that around here. What happened to the front end on the yellow 5 window?
not sure. we were standing there and he didnt really get on it but i think when he hit the brakes it finally broke the lwr arm off. poss it was cracked an dit just finally broke. what a bummer
Probably lucky for him it broke while cruising and not on the highway on the way home. That's kinda scary. Thanks for posting the pics. Looks like it would have been a blast to attend.
I have a few to contribute that my 9 y/o son took. The last pic is of me with my "cruiser" for the last half of the night.
thanks for the pics. the cruz was great. the cops were very cool as well. we did burnouts for at least an hour before we were stopped around 830
