53 f1oo project

    just picked up a 53 ford for 900$. not in to bad of shape needs a lil work but over all not bad. if any one has any ideas or parts for a mustang II also the rear arms off of a 62-70 chevy truck. ill be intrested.

    NO. No Mustang II. No S-10 Frames.

    Do your homework. There are several better options out there than a frame swap or a Mustang II front suspension. The 70-81 Camaro being the most common front clip swap, followed by the Jaguar, Crown Victoria, etc. Using the 63-72 Chevy Truck rear arms would make the ride very smooth.

    Use the "search" ****on and see what others are doing. Join the F-100 group and post up there. There's lots of information out there, lots of good ideas, tips, and ways to make things easier.

    started to take the truck apart tonight gunna start selling of the parts im not using if any one is intrested. front brakes are sold still have the sterring box and colomn, a good gauge cluster, steering wheel is in good shape, ill find more stuff im sure to add.

    welp just an up date on project 53 f100 build. so far i have taken off the front clip repaired the front fenders stripped down the supension and started mocking up where im gunna set the cv set up on it. wanna thank tin can for the help so far on the supension and truckedup 28 with teaching me body work ugggg hate body work. ill get some more pics on the updated look.

    hope you ended up using your stock suspension, you and get is down low and handling well without doing a suspension clip....good luck and nice find for $900

    welp havent done much with the truck put a crown vic suspension and stuck an explorer rear end up on the leaf springs. i just had my first kid yesterday so looks like it may be a while again for more up dates. lets see i took out the windsheild and started the process of sanding it down to see what i have to work with. ill try and get better pics of the beast. thanks :cool:
