BUGS!!! Pretty much every goo filled critter from Redondo Beach to Santa Maria smashed into flat face of the van on the drive up. And back. Too much fun. It was the first decent size trip (a little over 200 miles each way). Had a blast. Thanks Happy Hoppy, T. Page, Munster, Bumpstick, Shawn and Nobu..... you guys rule.
Also got covered in (on) the new Rod and Kulture. Thanks a million to Zombie for believing in a van, and of course KA Custom, Tim Conder, and Pablo Perez for their incredible work.
Very Cool Coby!!!! Congrats man!!! The only thing I don't understand is why they didn't use your logo for the VanGo text on the spreads.... instead of "just find a font" and put it up there.
Congrats on the feature, Coby. As for the road trip....those bugs should feel honored to have met their demise on the face of such a cool van!
Congrats Coby......excellent spread.....Oh and I was relieved when I read further and found out it wasn't being covered in a VW mag......
You need a bra for it ... I'll look into that for you, Ken the fearless leader of the Vango Retrieval Team has one for his Econo. I've been waiting for what seems forever to see this issue of R&K, I'll go searching today, but up here in the great snowy north it could be another few days 'til we get it. The pictures look great, a good mix of studio and daylight.
I hope a roof shot FINALLY got covered! Haven't seen it yet,but i'm sure it's a great article,Coby...Congrates!!!
Congrats on the photo spread and THANKS for the ride in Santa Maria. Coolest Van ever. Love all the detail work that you showed me. Chip.
Coby, Amazing in every way! Congrats to all involved in the build. Picked up the mag at the LA Roadster Show. Killer photos by your brother! I can't wait to see it on the road in person. It was definitely a show stopper at the GNRS. I couldn't stop staring at it! -Aaron
Just shows you don't always have to go outside the box to have a killer vehicle.....you just need to get inside the box and fill it with breathtaking wood work and a lot of cleaver planning.
i couldnt get it to fit and look right with the layout. i think part of it was the logo is just so cool, it took away from the kick ass photo. ha ha. i wanted to use it with the article inside, but sometimes the layout guys have trouble with the distinction between direction, and suggestion. ha ha none the less, thanks coby for holding out for us. love that van, and i think this is the best issue we have produced. you guys did an outstanding job. this van has definitely set a new standard, and i believe has been the best example of "van to traditional custom" crossover. with that said, john jackson's isnt too far behind. ha ha thanks again man, zombie
