Spent most of the morning going through this thread......saw it when it first started and of course forgot to subscribe...then I retired and moved....so anyway...great story and a really amazing build...your attention to and respect for history and detail is most impressive and the car is aesthetically perfect...I congratulate you and your wife for your decisions....this is going to be a memorable car. Oh... and I loved all the feedback about color etc. knowing all along that they were meaningless as "Lady Shifter" would have the last and probably best opinion.........;)

This car is just too cool. I love every modification you are doing to it. Very tasteful and not overkill. As for the color, I vote the second one, PB&J ;)

The guy that was doing the mix with Por15 left and went on his own and let me tell you this shit is tough and cheaper. They have a chassis kit with everything you need even the rubber gloves. I coated the whole under the car and the chassis with a quart and a half.......with a brush!!

That's awesome. I did my '35's under carriage with POR-15 and then painted everything from the firewall forward with Dupont centurian 5000. But for the next car that KBS looks like it might be a nice alternative! I love painting with a brush, it's much more simple....like me!

With a brush? That looks bloody fantastic! I'm going to have to learn more about that stuff.

Have you mentioned when you'll expect this car back from paint (or at least when we'll see a picture of the car with paint on it.. :D)? I absolutely cannot wait to see how straight the body looks with paint on it.

I hear ya, and the results look so good why would would you bother breaking out the paint gun and getting more involved then you have to. I can tell you one thing, those coatings that are applied with a brush are hard as hell and just the thing you need for an area that's going to see some abuse.
