Does anybody have photos of linkage setup. I'm using stromberg 97. Is there carb linkage that I need to remove?
I have a similar Edelbrock log manifold and use an Eelco progressive linkage. These may help? There are others out there who know a lot more than me so based on my limited knowledge and experience, the progressive linkage allows you to run only the centre 2 carburetors until throttle is 65% open. Once at WOT everything is open 100%. With a progressive setup it only idles on the centre 2 carburetors. The outer 4 carburetors kick in like secondaries. Jet-up the centre 2 carburetors and close off the air fuel circuit on the outside 4 carburetors as well as jetting them down to make them dumpers. You only need a choke on the centre 2 carburetors. http://www.vintakes.com/photo.html http://www.gasalleystreetrods.com/ms6x2.html
I have real issues with linkage bought over the counter..If you buy over the counter make sure that the bodies are off the bases, that way you can see the throttle plates move and adjust so everything work right.. Duane.
my problem is that the carbs are so close to each other that the throttle linkage hits the carb linkage next to it. It's a small block chevy manifold. Other 6 deuce manifolds have more room between carbs.
