I just bought this Mullins trailer and plan on restoring it, I need some parts that are missing to complete it. I have not seen one with the trunk in front and the frame is longer(looks original), is this original?

??? there used to be a little bi-monthly club letter about the Mullins Trailers. It was the Red Cap review. It stated that Mullins went thru a lot of changes during 2 years of production. Mullins even bought a old amu*****t park and s****ped it for the metal to make trailers. I do know that they used a real small, not common ball size hitch.

There is a book about Mullins trailers .. go here

It's more likely a 1937, The trunk was most likely a special order or a custom addition.

................customer servive still existed in 1937

I have an original , and not being an expert I see some things that are different than on mine Mine has the old tortus type hitch and all original framed had the serial number on the cross frame in the back the shell looks original to me, just put atop a newer frame. please dont take this as final word, just the differences I see.Cool lookin none the less. I would be happy to take pictures of undercarrige etc, Brian

Hey....good talking with you.....there is a good book out published I'd say about 2008 - about these little trailers. Read it at our local Half Price Books in Dallas. It a small - about 50 pages - but really neat.
