    Charlotte, NC area.
    Plenty of affordable places as long as your not in the city limits.
    Great friendly people
    Always car stuff going on
    Great weather
    Guns are the norm and I believe you can shoot and intruder as long as you catch him breaking in and he's intending you bodily harm
    Iron Lords
    Good Guys South East Nationals
    Auto Fair swap (largest in the nation with the exception of hershey I believe
    1.5hr drive to the mountains
    3.5hr drive to the ocean
    The most plush state in terms of plant life that I have seen
    History
    Major sports teams if ya like that
    Major City but still the South
    No Snow except for 2-3 inches one day a year and it's melted by noon


    I moved here from Buffalo, NY and never plan on moving anywhere else. Love this state.

    Medford/Ashland OR is real nice. Warm and dry, laid back. When escaping SoCal I was seconds away from moving there. Job did not work out and ended up in Upstate NY. Go figure.

  4. 50 miles seems far to you? Cars are made to go at least that far. The West might not work for you.
