Spacetruck - stock 34 Chevy dash with bigger holes for Cl***ic instruments dual guages. The truck now has matching teardrop blue and white knobs on the headlight and fan switch.

Lunar Lander - 54 Olds dash shortened 13 inches. I will use the stock speedo and probably put some aftermarket guages in the holes where the original guages were, unless I can find a way to hook them up so they work.

Hey Squablow, I'm a newbie too. You could put that 56 Olds dash in my old Dodge pickup, I wouldn't mind, really. GTNRKIX

Some guy emailed me and asked where I bought these gauges, and if he could get a matching tach :D

Rolf - amazing simplicity... Love it.

Here's mine. Terrible picture, but you get the idea.

My car was initially not being built for the street, so I filled my stock dash in anticipation of stuffing it with modern racing units. As my vision veered, I had to make up for the lack of personality. I did it with a huge engine turned insert and black S/W gauges. The wheel is off a '55 Chevy, the column is a tilt unit out of a 70's GM van (I hate it, but my back calls for adjustability), the shifter is a vintage 60's Hurst, knobs were made by a super nice guy in wichita, and the stereo is all hidden under the seat and controlled by a wired remote.

Due to dough I had in the motor, I wanted to make sure oil pressure was as accurately measured as possible, but I didn't want a huge autometer gauge on the dash. Instead, I got a red microlite and stuck it on top of the dash. You can barely see it with the naked eye, but if oil pressure gets low it lights up like a christmas tree...

Im sorry I dont have a pic, but what I did on my 54 Chevy was to take apart the speedo and paint the inside ring behind the numbers a 'flake gold as well as the speedo needle, the rest is black and the numbers on the lens are still white, then i got the three guage panel and painted it gold as well with some black moon guages. THen all the other dash pieces are chrome and the entire dash is white, not the two tone factory style. Ill get a picture up when I can.

In the '24 I just put together. '41 Merc Wheel, ring and column, tach drive tach and all the gauges work.
