1939 ford truck headlight hole

    this came off of a 39' ford truck stake bed and iam not sure what the hole on top is for. i cant find any pictures that show a signal light on top or anything else. iam hoping somebody has a picture or some info to help me. thanks

    I agree....and I can see a faint outline of where a light mounted on top, turn signal or parking light?....the hole was probably for a hollow mounting stud that the wire came through

    It was pretty common in the 50s-60s to add turn signals to old trucks, usually by adding 4 ugly lights to the truck, those round ones that stick up. Odds are that was done some time in the past to that headlight.
