Super Turbine 300 Shift Kit

How do I "crisp up" the 1-2 shift on my ST-300 tranny? It's due a filter and fluid change soon and I have a spare tranny (valve body) I was hoping to modify when the pan is off.

The easiest (and cheapest) way to improve the ST300 is to swap in a TH350, unfortunately.
