Here is a web site you can tune into and watch the progress of a homemade street rod I am building. Its basically a cut down 1928 Model A coupe that will be powered by a built up Chrysler flat head 6...I am at the beginning now and will add picture and such as work progresses...I am always looking for Flat 6 mopar speed stuff...Thanks, JB

heyman, i dig the hell outta the mopar flat 6s... got one in my 51 cambridge.. talk to "moose" on here,. he set me up with his home made manifold that takes 2 carbs, he can make em for single or 2 barrels (i have the 2- 1 barrel setup)_.... ist a one piece manifold with dual exhaust outlets as well, he does custom work VERY nice, and GREAT price!!! he makes zoomies too... so have him make you a manifold with 2 2 barrels, and zoomies, would be KOOOOOL .. these are some of the best sounding motors ever made IMO... another carb makes HUGE power difference too man

  6. Go to his pictures, I think he belongs here. Welcome.

    I have to agree.

***les don't always retain the meaning they started with.

It used to be so much simpler, this hot rodding stuff.

Welcome. Tell us a bit about yourself...

  10. "Street rod"? That ain't no "street rod," that's what around here we call a hot rod -- and a damned fine example, I must say. Welcome aboard.

Tell us more about the angle iron at the bottom of the body. Usually the body is turned under and crimped to the subframe. are you welding the body to the angle iron? What will you do for the subframe? Tell us why you took this approach.

I started with a body that was ****...no bracing, subrails nad such...No frame...So I made it all the way i felt...The angle iron was bent to the shape of the frame then the body was welded to it to hold it inshape while i repaired the body..I cut the downward leg of the Angle iron off when I was done....It goes together like this....Frame-floorpan attached the frame- Body welting -then the body attached...Might not be right but it works for me....John

Jesus Christ, you guys need to quit ****ing whining every time someone calls a "modified automobile" by a name that you dub "innappropriate" (sp?). Its a car- let people call it what the Hell they want to call it. Its being built, so who cares about the "correct" ***le.

Cool car, whatever you want to call it. I'm no expert but don't we have problems when we combine hairpins with tube axles due to inability of the tube to torque?

  17. Don't mean to sound like SUCH a *****... but with a name like big ticket and leaving your e-mail address for all of us to send you our flathead six stuff is one hell of an intro...

But anyway... welcome to the HAMB.
    Sam.

    Welcome.

Thanks for the pics of the frame and suspension set up. I like to see the different ways people build them...I'm soaking this stuff in for future reference.

If it's got a ****ing license plate on it and it's driven on the ****ing street it's a ****ing STREET ROD.
If it's not got a plate and not driven on the street but is only TRAILERED to tracks then it's NOT a ****ing street rod, but qualifies only as a ****ing HOT ROD.
A ****ing TRAILER QUEEN hotrod at that! :D
