  1. Ok I am not normally inclined to post something like this. Does anyone else get an empty feeling in the pit of there stomach over something like this?

It is just wrong on so many levels.

    Yeah, totally wrong.

He shoulda painted the inside of the hood flat black to hide the soot buildup. ;)

if he used a wagon he would have more seats.

  9. Better that than crushed in front of you with nothing you can do about it.

And it is just a Ford. The last one we had anything like that no one had any interest in.

Plus the fun part of that is my neighbors would hate it, but they wouldn't be able to say much about it since it's not a car, it's a grille and picnic table.

To me it looks like someone finally found a good use for a Ford.

All kidding aside, it is kinda cute. Several people sent me the pics earlier today.

  11. What a waste of a beautiful car.

  12. I got a feeling(READ...HOPE!) it wasn't nearly as nice a car as it looks like. So rather than dump a mountain of money into an old 4 door-The guy did something cool with it. Hey-at least he used the whole car and not just the trunk to make a couch.

no beautiful cars were wasted....it's being fully utilized. Nothing that can't be reversed...pretty cool idea.

Doesn't bother me, I'd have sawzalled that four door into bits and recycled it after taking all the good bits off. Unless it ran of course, then I would have thrashed it into the ground, then cut it up.

Unless it belonged to Aunty Sue who cares?

Bet he went to the Broken Spoke at Sturgis . Saw the bus with the top cut off filled with stocktanks with ice and beer. There was a 4 door Lincoln with the back seat filled with ice and beer.

That looks like the right grill for a '56 Ford to me.

  18. I'm hoping that it was one of those no title rusted out chassis cars. But if it was a total rust bucket then I guess it was time wasted on something that could have been used to put another on the road.

I believe this was on ebay a couple of weeks ago. I think the add or the response to one of the questions said it had tons of Bondo in it and wasn't salvagable or restorable. If that is true, I think it'd be cool to have in the back yard, next to a pool.

Would be better with a bed instead of a lousy picnic table!

  24. Strokes for folks, sure better than sitting in a wrecking yard or being crushed!! I think it's pretty damn cool. What the hell do I know?? ~sololobo~

  25. Hows this then if that ruined your day. there is/was a resturant on the Oregon that has one inside for a booth. There is also 58 buick convert in Horseshoe Bend Idaho that is used for a checkout stand. They have to open the door to get to the cash register. Thumper in LA has a 46/48 ford coupe split down the middle & attached to his back fence & there is a 70s something vette split down the middle & attached to the gable of a body shop in Rupert Idaho. A parts house in Medford Oregon has a rivy cut in half & stuck on the outside of their building.

How do they keep the underside of the hood so white? Probably never use the grill, just have it all catered.

I dig it. I'd park it in the front yard next to the llamas and kiddie pool.

  30. That car was a rusted out, beyond worth saving, 4 door sedan. No harm, no foul
