Hello everyone. Yes I am a girl and I love cars! I have a '54 Chevy 210, been working on it for 14 long years. It was my father's daily driver when I was just a kid. He parked it many years ago and it just sat there abandoned for about 30+ yrs. One day I looked at it and that was all it took. I seen it's potential and I knew we had a great future ahead of us. My Dad has put so much of himself into making this car happen for me. We have countless hours, days & years and plenty of blood, sweat and tears, too. We had a bit of a set back in 2006, when my Dad suffered a stroke and my world came crashing down. My Dad, my garage buddy was out of commission. Honestly, I didn't know if he would be back. But I told him daily as he lay in the hospital...Dad you have got to fight this and get better because we have a car to finish! :)The road has been a long one for my Dad, but little by little we are moving forward. It's slow, but it's progress. I have looked around this site for quite some time now and finally got my nerve up to just join in. I am hoping to be able to turn to my fellow car enthusiast for help with questions as the come up. Thanks for reading

Welcome from Colorado Springs. Hope your dad is doing well and has fast recovery. Nothing builds memories like working on a car with your pops, you laugh, you argue, you get to know him in a totally different way and that old Chevy suddenly becomes priceless.

Welcome to a great place. Look forward to seeing your car when it's done at some of the SoCal shows. Enjoy the project with your father, the memories will last forever.

Welcome from Okc. Im in the current build of a '49 deluxe and the wealth of knowledge I have gained from this build i would be more than happy to pass on. I dont know how to put pictures on here, I barely know how a forum works, but the knowledge I lack with the operation of this site I more than make up for in the garage and with my rides so hit me up if you've got questions. I hope your pops makes a full recovery, I have no idea what i would do without mine.

Hello and Thank you. Cool you are working on a '49 Deluxe that's a great car. I appreciate your offer of your knowledge. That' priceless! My car is in upholstery now and I hope we have in back sometime next week. Just getting a bit anxious now because I can't wait to see my Dad cruising in it. We still needs to tie up plenty of loose ends...like a stereo, tires, rims, tail pipes, re-assembly of the dash, installing air gauges for the bags... and plenty more things. I really appreciate your well wishes for my Dad. He has put so much of himself into this car for me...it is something money just can't buy.
