Ford made crew cabs for the Fire trucks as early as '54 at their Rouge plant near Dearborn and the Dearborn Fire Dept(s) used them also. Got to be pretty rare and desireable. Good score!

I saw a 1956 F100 crewcab in Pagosa Springs, CO back in 2000. Didn't know they even existed but my Dad said he'd seen them used by railroad crews in South Dakota in the 50s & 60s. I'd love to get hold of one.

Now that is something I have never seen. Post some more pics when you get it home. I think you would get endless attention with that thing fixed up.

That Big Job is WAY cool. Looks like a ramp truck in the making without too much effort. Wonder what it was used for originally. I suspect it could tell more than a few tales.

Are the grill and front bumper chromed? They sure look like it. That was a SPENDY truck when it was new. Was it possibly a fire truck ch***is that never got a back body?

i wouldnt dissasemble it cory, somebody is gonna want to make a car hauler out of it..probably has the tag of the coach builder somwhere on it..maybe Crown, i forget the other one that i have seen...

  22. Cut it in two behind the cab and that will make it managable to haul without ruining it. Can always weld it back. Odds are anyone making a hauler out of it would put it on a later model big truck frame, though.

Just take the cab to your house. S**** rest of it :D. Might bring more money complete, but would have to have one big trailer:D or cut it half like RustNewYorker said. Great find though.

Drag it home and list it online. Someone will buy it complete. It would make a great car hauler!
