this was my car in high school and has been sitting since 1973. Has a 235 with fenton split manifold stock trans with a floor shifter. Also a 8 track tape player. Chrome wheels but everything is in bad shape from sitting so long.

My inner fenders ('51 chevy) are... rough but mostly intact. The car took a hit...HARD... on the driver side at some point in it's life and I've got a lot of hammering to do. I would replace them if there were any folks making repop inners... but I've found nothing. SO I'm going to (probably) make my own.

Where are you rusting out exactly?

Sorry, mine is in ok shape. I don't recall seeing those patch panels so your going to have to make them yourself.

I use cardboard to make templates.

I wish I could tell you something easier, but you'[re going to have to do it yourself. Being that it's structural, I'd go with 16 gauge- since it's going to be difficult to duplicate the exact stamped contours, the extra thickness will give you extra strength. But, since it's not going to show, you can get by with whatever level of finish perfection you want, as long as it is strong.

It would make it a lot easier! I hate having to splice together 3 pieces of a quarter panel. Too much hammer and dolie work to make it look good without using a gallon of bondo!!
