at 44, with bad back and knees from working on (and under) too many projects i struggle to call myself new but i`m new to HAMB .... so i may say hello to everybody i`m into vintage trailers (the aircraft fuselage, all aluminum & rivet style) but not the restored to original kind (i dont want to travel/camp in a museum ) i like to hotrod and modernize them a little without loosing the vintage soul. my current trailer is a 1966 Streamline that i rebuild from the ground up... and right now i`m working on rebuilding a 1950 Spartanette Tandem (at 28 foot its kinda a "Teardrop trailer" on steroids ) my brain is also working on a vintage tow vehicle idea (`50 COE with shortened `48 Spartan Manor backhalf grafted to it) HAMB is a fantastic source for inspiration as well as tech .... i hope i can add a little to it
How Cool is that!! Fantastic trailer, all of us old guys could use one of those sweeties on the road, Good job, good luck with the tow vehicle, and welcome!
thanks for the welcome yeah... the polished aluminum & rivets are highly addictive ... and after i have seen some of the COE haulers here in some of the threads i realized i just have to build a tow vehicle that is matching the coolness
