workin away on her denise,,,,weeks of 100+ degree weather tends to slow me down a bit though,,,been trying a few ideas on the nose area,,think i finally have something worked out,,,,i will be posting some update pics pretty soon,,,i think it's time to roll her outside, stand back and take a real good look at her,,,,,,,thanks everyone for the interest in the project....

the "arrangement" between mike and myself that denise speaks of is to have both of our crazy kustoms at the roundup in '12,,,whether driven or dragged there,,,,so far so good,,,,

MAN! you just ruined a perfectly good Ghia nose! Do you know how hard it is to find one that isn't all rotted to shit? Actually seeing that you just cut one all up, probably not and you obviously don't give a shit either...hahaha...
but the Telstar thing is looking good none the less....

hahaha,,,this one actually has quite a few areas of rot to be dealt with,,,but finding it saved me a lot of work nonetheless, because i was in the process of fabricating something VERY similar in shape,,,finding that ghia nose saved me the trouble of having to fabricate the deck lid, hinges, lip, etc, etc,,,

  8. You GO Jim! :)

Other than butterflying a 57 Merc steering wheel, I've done nothing to my project ....(but it WILL be in Austin)......

I like to think I'm giving you a head start:D

    The race is on........

Now Jim, you do understand that if you break a promise of fairy dies (or something like that), don't you? And you don't Wanna be responsible for any dead fairys now do you?;)
    The waiting starts now.

not a hell of a lot of progress over the summer, due to the record heat we had here,,(august alone had 29 days over 100 degrees,,,WELL over, on a bunch of days),,every time i put on the welding helmet, i kept telling myself,,,,naaahhhh,,,,tomorrow,,,it's just too goddamned hot today,,,i am relocating the detail shop approximately a mile away at the end of the month, and the car is not quite structurally sound enough to move it without causing damage, so i will be forced to make some major progress over the next few weeks,,luckily, the scorching heat seems to have subsided (at least for the time being),,,i have made some progress over the summer, just didn't feel it was significant enough to merit a progress report...i will, however be posting some pics during the next several weeks..........
