Me and marty took the arc out of this 77 ford ft bumper then gave it a lil hair cut and hung it on the back......[IMG]

The front bumper looks great on the back. Clever, nice.

  6. It just hit me. When we put the front bumper we had to bow the center, re-contour the ends to fit the fenders and drill new mounting holes. You don't think we............

I've just subscribed to this thread because I really like the direction this thing seems to be going. It's a quintessential shop truck.

The really cool thing is that you could just as easily follow the same general "formula" when building a Chevy, GMC or Dodge truck from the same general era.

    • An attractive, but not extreme stance
    • Basic, functional undercarriage upgrades
    • Largish, healthy, but mildly tuned smallblock
    • Beefy automatic trans
    • Highway-geared final drive ratio
    • Utilitarian bed treatment
    • Simple, but functional interior
    • No unnecessary "gee-gaws", just simple, "form-follows-function" engineering from bumper to bumper
    What's not to like?

It's really coming out great Dave. It's gonna be nice to have a driver again too now that rainy season is approaching. I'm sure it'll get "pretty" later, for now it's a great solid, dependable, cool daily driver, even though it's a Ford. :)

I can't believe that there is no rust at all around the windshield and it has never been fix or repaired...gotta love a rust free truck...sweet[IMG]
