Look what followed me home! '40 Olds sedan

    1940 Oldsmobile G40 Model 70 2-door sedan......almost no rust at all, and replacement parts included for the bent up left front fender and grille. The fllors and trunk are sound, no rust-through that I've seen. It has the original engine and trans....actually, it's all original other than the wheels and tires. The body is surprisingly straight, and 95% of the stainless is there, along with the seats, window cranks and door handles. I've attached some pics, and will add some more later. Plans include leaving the body alone, other than paint, with a hot rod flavor.:D

    looks good... is that the original hood ornament? kinda has a 50 Ford look to it.

    man that thing is a coool ride , are you going to save the engine or go modern ? please post some build photos id like to see this one return to the streets

    It will get an engine/drivetrain transplant if I build it. The hood ornament is original, I'm pretty sure.I'm on the fence between this and another project.

    I wouldn't paint it,I like the patina myself.Upgrade the engine & drive train & drive the wheels off it.
