Well, just one side (it took all afternoon to get everything apart and back together). The driver's side still has to be altered to fit up over the steering box. It felt a little funny pulling out the original inner fender panels and an old set of ****** headers but I guess these are a necessity for a g***er. Think we can get away with running these open? -Dean http://public.fotki.com/HotRod28/55_chevy/
Look's good. I've been thinking of changing my '57 around. Right now it sit's really low in the front with a slight rake.. Kinda thinking of doing the opposite with the nose up and changing the exhaust to fenderwell's too... I really dig your '55.. Looks killer! Tony
It looks pretty good but you gotta get those tall, fat, wide wheels and tires off the front. Maybe some VW tires mounted on some E.T. "g***ers"?
How would 15x7's and cheater slicks on the back, and 15x6" with bias tires on the front be? I cant seem to come up with a good wheel/tire size to go with. -Dean
I had the 'VW' tire's on the front of my 57 for years. I think they were 5.60x15's on 3.5" rim.. Those would look killer on that car, and i know the're not cheap, but i gotta agree with the E/T "g***er" rim's too.. Maybe some steel rim's with cheater's out back and 10 spoke's up front...... Or, just keep the chrome steel's and just get a set of skinny one's for the front.. To be honest, chrome steel wheels are probably my favorite rim anyway
