I just thought I'd throw up some pics of my '52 Caddy I just bought. Let the work begin. Any advice would be great...I'm pretty new to this.

Looks like a good solid base for a project car. Did someone convert it to 12 volt or did someone slam a 12 volt battery in there and called it good. I remember the first old car I had (53 Plymouth) and I put a 12 volt. Burnt a lot of stuff out and learned the hard way on that one about positive ground 6 volt systems.

It looks like it has an alternator on and a ballast resistor on the firewall next to the battery. it so it probably has been converted to 12 V. But you are correct in that they were originally 6V info here

It actually runs GREAT. I'm missing a few things, but it's mostly complete. I'd love to see if you have any of the things I'm missing on the parts car.

Yeah, it appears that some stuff did get burned out when they converted.

Did it originally have the batwing air cleaner? I have the owner's manual and it shows one in there, but the one on it seems original.

That's not the original air cleaner. The original looks like the one in the photo and is an oil bath type.
