I licked some Bonneville salt out of a container, down here in New Zealand...... Guess that dont really count?
He must be back up north now for the summer because he lives down here in the winter. He's a friend of a friend so I have gotten to talk with him a few times. At first I thought he was a little standoffish and not all that friendly, but now that we have known each other for a while he is nicer IMO. Certainly knows his stuff and has some cool cars, like his Crosley and 40(?) Merc convertible. Don
. I had beers with the dirt of a thousand years under my fingernails, all while farting a northern tune .
I drove Flash Cadillac of the Continental Kids around in my roadster after a show in 2003 and a week later he died?
Shook Bob Pierson's hand and his sig is right behind me. Bob was telling me to just f&%king stop and listen to the KB lakester powered car that had broken 300 mph and more before that. Watched a car from the 2.5 at the same place go past the stand while listening to the radios as the car cleared each point straight and fast. A car that I built a driveshaft for. I took a pic then, Donnie Stringfellow sent another pic a few years after 1995 after more record attempts. The car was painted red. Met Don Jensen of Edelbrock when his camper trailer spring broke while in travel to a race. Got him help through a now longer time wrecker operator friend, to get him down the road. Don didn't hand his biz card to me to ask for help, he did it as a gentleman, was after I did my best to try to help him. I remember seeing him on some NASCAR ***c show while the Nashville Network was still the label before FOX screwed all that **** up. Saw Stevie Ray Vaughan play at the Cotton Bowl with his bro and The Who---and in Memphis in May the only time I saw Ray Charles. Guessin' I missed as much as I watched. Young lady on a Kawasaki 100cc bike and her dad both hollerin' because she rode out the short course on B'ville at about 97 with a lot of hard work for them. MPH may be off. I brag for them because I have to many years late, good folks. At the timing stand as a guest. A red 261 mph T-bird was there and more. Golden, last name, of USFRA, with the red 56 truck,Tyres, blower.
. I met the ghost of elvis after someone slipped something into my drink, He told me not to eat the blue ones.
