I'm just re***embling the brakes, on my Model A brake conversion, and need the heavy C clips that hold the e-brake parts in place on the rear brakes. These are heavier than standard C clips and have the ends bent in after ***embly. I can't find a vendor with these--anyone with a part number or a vendor that carries them or???? Maybe there is a term for them that I don't know? This is the last thing left to do. Thanks

Macs sells the clips you need. I usually use a screw driver and a hammer and knock them off that way. I have had success using channel lock pliers to reinstall them by squeezing them on to the pins. Thats how I did them on my 46 ford coup with stock brakes. Hope this helps

Definitly MAC's (800)777-0948. I just bought some two weeks ago. Mac's description is "Lever pin retainer" Part # 91A-2106 on page 20 of their catalog.

That's the same way I R&R 'em. Should be able to get them at NAPA, pretty common Ford part for a lot of years.

before my current schooling as a machinist, I was a Ford parts counterman for 11 years. the clips you describe may be as close as your well-stocked dealer; still sold under the original part number of 91A-2106 and still used in Ford drums to old the E-brake actuator lever to the shoe.

more than one dealer i worked at had a dusty old bin with 50 or more in it (because they come in order quan***ies of 100!). if not, he may also be able to locate you some for pennies on the dollar from another dealer on a locator service called D2D Link. Ford dealers are incentivized to keep inventories small, current and lean, so they are sometimes willing to discount their inventory over 12 months old; so your dealer could order in a discounted quan***y from another dealer. if your dealer is willing to p*** along some of his discount to you, you could probably have a lifetime supply for the cost of a set of four from Mac's
