my Falcon isnt a hot rod (at least not by my definition) street rod, custom, or muscle car (even though it has some muscle ). so what is it?
Yep, a nice little Falcon that looks like it is all on one theme and well done. It looks like you did exactly what a lot of guys would have done with one in the early/mid sixties if they had the money to do it then. Those cars are probably the most overlooked cars around while they are easy to modify with almost all stock Ford parts or replacement parts. One would be killer with an upgraded suspension and brakes and a 5.0 and five speed combo and a simple clean appearance like yours has.
As others have said already, I wouldn't worry about what folks call the car. As long as you enjoy the cars that's all that is important. Enjoyment is way more important than Genre any day of the week =) Sharp looking car, I'm impressed! -Brad
Since you're having trouble locating and defining the proper nomanclature for your "ride", and one shouldn't have to be troubled with such nonsense, you should sell the Falcon to me and let me worry with what to call it. Then you can get a properly defined "hot rod" and be rid of the pesky, non discript Falcon whatchamacallit. Outlaw
In the 80s it would have been a street machine if you really need to put it into a box. Like the rest said its kool
No no no. You guys have it all wrong, every modified car must have a meaningless, mis-used buzz-word to categorize it. Didnt you get the memo??
I can't tell a lot about what has been done to the car. Front wheels did not come with the car, so at the least it has been customized - Any engine mods?
You should probably ask the ass clowns at/on Barrett Jackson. They have or can make up a label for anything .. then all the weak minded legitimize them by using them.
a fearless falcon for sure. i would call any car newer than 1960 a street machine, unless it fits in the "low rider-gasser-etc catagory. i wish my 63 nova was that nice, she's pro street, but i wish she was a gasser.keep up the great work and enjoy it all. the destination will come, don't forgetto enjoy the journey. john
I always just call an American car that has been customized a Hot Rod no matter what year it is, I call my 350 powered S10 a Hot Rod.
i appreciate all the positive comments. but, what started this was my wife asked me if it fell under the label of hot rod. i said no, she asked then what is it and i couldnt give a definite answer.
