HIS CAR HIS MONEY HIS WAY If anyone does not like it offer him a pile of money for it and do it YOUR WAY.
I take back what I said about not having seen a chop on a 37 I could like. This is a schooling in how it's done. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=280008&showall=1
Lol That is the thread I used for reference and it's how I chopped my top with a couple minor changes to the cut lines. The biggest change was the amount I took out. Thanks Vergil! Here is one of those guys that has truly inspired me. His EFI flatheads and projects are a real works of art.
Well there you go. It must be all in the approach to how much was taken out, as the car in the other thread turned out much nicer than yours. Again this is my opinion based on my own tastes, so carry on and have fun with yours.
I think they did a fantastic job. I was talking to someone today about helping them with their car. The body style is similar to mine I believe it is a Plymouth or Dodge. I showed them that 37 and suggested it be done like that. It's going to be a full fendered car and I think it would look much better if it wasn't as radical as mine. Like I said before I would have liked those rear side windows to be a little bigger that way the doors wouldn't look so long but I was just to lazy to do the extra work. lol I really want to get this done by the Woodward Dream Cruise.
