He's going to put the convertible top on my Dart. Walt does top notch work, and is one hell of a nice guy too.

Pricing depends on how fancy you want it. We settled on a price before the job was started according to what I wanted. And I wanted everything! not cheap, but nothing worthwhile ever is. Check out his website. He's done some fantastic stuff from all over the country.

There used to be a guy near T.F. Greene Airport in Warwick, RI that was really good and reasonably priced. I used him back in '90 but can't remember his name. His name may have been Fred Carrello or something like that. RI's a small state, someone knows him if he's still alive and/or in business.

That would be Fred Carello in W. Warwick,He has done many of my buddies cars. One of the BEST in the area. BUT, He has a waiting list that can go years!! OK if you aren't in a hurry. But I hate to wait.

I'm glad to hear that Fred's doing well. I knew him when he first started out in a tiny garage behind his house. He always wore bedroom slippers (called house shoes today) in the cars he was working on. His cousin helped him by stripping the inside and Fred did the rest. He was/is a true craftsman with a business plan!

One time I took a car back to him for a slight alteration (putting secret compartments in the doors to hold open beers) and he loaned me a ride to get to the Hooter's for Happy Hour while he performed the task.

This shop says hotrod, antique car, etc, upholstery in Canterbury CT.

Never went there, but maybe worth a call. The ad pic shows 2 old time rods there.

Rick's Upholstery in Utica NY does all my stuff (sorry, no pics) He can do anything, and prices are more than fair. He's the guy that Upholstered the 'Merc thats in the movie Cool World. It's really not all that far of a drive for you, considering the quality of the work he does.

Anyone have photos of say 60s style traditional interior by A1? The only photos Ive seen of their work are 80s-90s-esque pro street tweed stuff.

Brain fade here :) Who is the guy that was working out of shop behind the house in Ellington on Rt83 near Rockville. I just can't think of his name.

I thought he got out of car upholstery, but I was taking to someone who thinks he is in Juliano's old Florence Ave. shop doing upholstery?

    Ask around or call Juliano's?

The guy is real good and very fast.

So I dropped my latest interior down to Rick. We're gonna do some bitchin' stichin' on these seats. Diamonds baby, Diamonds!

He mentioned to me that someone from CT called him about doing a roadster. He said that he wasn't thinking clearly and mistakenly asked him "what condition is the headliner in" haha, guess he had a brainfart. If it was one of you guys on this thread give the man another chance, he's not as burnt out as he sounds. You won't regret it.
