Just bought a '46 coupe with stock flathead. Weiand heads, dual cards (94's), and Fenton headers had been added at some point. She lights easy, but won't accelerate and plugs are black. Don't know how to lean carbs. Also, standard plugs (champion H10c) don't seem to put electrode into combustion chamber. They're only halfway thru alum. head ?? Any info will be a great help !

  2. check the available voltage on the spark plugs, get it scoped by a professional that knows how to run a scope, always first check that you have enough spark then do your plugs and go to a bigger plug gap when you get a nice fat 50K spark available
    then start on the carb:D
