anyona going to le mans this year?

the 24hrs of Le Mans is in june18-19 I herd rumer that they have a vitage race of cars from the 50's like max bellchwskie's old yellow whos going?

 

Lemans would be the only reason I would go to France. The Vintage race would be cool.

 

I could be wrong but I think they only allow cars that actually ran in period at Le Mans to run at the Le Mans Classic. Still a great event though, even though it's only been going for a few years it has already become one of the best European events. A couple of Balchowsky's cars showed up at a reunion at Paramount Ranch recently.

 

i would love to go but already committed for the USGP in Indy. Lemans is definately something I want to see atleast once in my lifetime, that and the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK

 

Well I'm going , and I'm driving my rod down there !! Can't wait , from what I hear there'll be quite a few rods and customs floating about so I'll get as many pics as I can and post 'em up for you all .

This is the regular(?!) 24hour race , hoping to see the Vette's kick Ferrari's ass again . Mind you , Aston Martin are out to play this year .

The Le Mans Classic is only run every 2 years , the next one is in July 2006 , I'll try to find out the date for you .

If anyone does make it over make sure you flag down the satin black 32rpu so I can steal your beer
