I, recently acquired an early (1968) S type Jaguar rear end and would like to know where you guys get your parts at the right price.

I am particularly interested in bearings, needle roller bearings, seals and universal joints.

It there such a thing as a one stop shop or will I need to chase every part and bearing number down the hard way?

I use these guys. http://www.britishparts.co.uk/ If you can't find what you are after on their website, send an email and ask as they have lots of stuff that's not listed.

Can't help you, I'm afraid; but if you're stripping it out of the cage I'd appreciate it if you can take a few measurements for me.

I ordered quite a bit of stuff from Welsh Enterprises several years ago when I was actually working on a Jag. They had good prices and good service. I recently checked and I believe they are still in business.

Xk's unlimited is who we have used at work. They deal with more than just e-types. Their prices are usually fair. The few things that seem over priced are so because they are the only ones with that part. Never had a problem with service.

Right after I got out of college I bought a XKE roadster (unfortunately I don't still have it) I seem to remember at the time a bunch of the rearend parts were Ford truck parts ie bearings etc. Don't know which specific parts or even if it's true but if it is true I'll bet that parts that are in a box labelled Ford are cheaper than parts in a box labelled Jaguar.

I used Terry's jaguar parts. Fast and reasonable. 800-851-9438. I am not ***ociated with them, just who I have used before.

    Thanks for the help.
Ive checked out XK's and their catalogue is easy to read and prices seem affordable.
I will continue and check out the other leads as well.
    Mucho gracias.

You might talk to Curt Hamilton at 818-787-9695. He helped me out with my Jag stuff. Sorry go-twitchy. You type faster than me.

I use Little British Car Company http://www.lbcarco.com/ since they give 10% off the Moss catalog price (you can use Moss part #s when ordering).

IIRC back in the '70's there was a magazine article with Chevrolet numbers for the Timken bearings used in the Jag rear ends. MUCH more reasonable source price wise at the time. Thinking it could have been Rod and Custom but I might be off on that, was a while ago and I used to read 'em all back then.
