Yeah, I would like to see what it looks like with those snaps on the car. I was concerned with where one would put the male snaps and how it would look.

Then for me I keep thinking do I run a black top, dark brown, red? etc.

Hey mopar210, is your top white in the center or is it transparent?

    Cheers and nice car.

Looks great love the wood bows in the top. I'm building a 34' plymouth 2dr sedan with about the same chop and stance and am planning on doing the same kind of snap top love the look. Good color and tire choice. Its refreshing to see a nice traditional car and not a car so cut up and ragged that you cant get in it without a tow rope and safety gl***es. Great job!

I consider that a steal, I do upholstery on aircraft by day and side work like this at night. I'm sure they have at least $50 bucks in material, snaps, edging. Doesnt leave a lot of room for the labor, pay the bills and to make a buck. Anyway, nice hot rod and congrats on the top! I like it!

I put one on my sedan last fall and I'm still driving the car now. Really cuts down on the wind. One of the best things I've done to the car and it's really nice to remove it when the sun is out. Sorry, This is the only pic I have on this particular computer.

I have a filled roof in my tudor, and don't really care for it, I have a 31 chevy two door sedan that we are going to do this way or with a vinyl and foam over plywood treatment. Seeing the pics of yours makes me lean this way. Your car looks real good.

X3 on the rain Question, Also More important , Whats to keep the thing from blowing off at 60 mph? 70-80 or 120 down the drag strip? It would be nice to have a secured edge along the front, maybe some thumb screws from underneath, or a kind of "s" hook design.

What keeps them from blowing off going down the highway is something called "hard action" snaps. They're incredibly strong and we use them for boat tops at work. You could also sew in a rubber edge with the hem around every side just to make sure it wouldnt leak.

That's the ticket! Had a snap on top for my boat. It never seen 100 mph but at 60mph the thing never even budged!
A local coupe runs this set-up and he put HD velco across the front he says it keeps the top on and rain free.

Very nice. Reminds me of a bimini top. Nice to have the option not to get wet.
