here are some pix of my truck, it has a good size dent on the back and others here and there. but all in all pretty nice! honnestly id trade this and my 56 plymouth project (clean title in hand, on non-op) for a nice older DRIVABLE or close to it ride! ;) ill post an ad in CARS FOR SALE if this does not pan out.

For what it is worth, I'm with you on being cautious about the trade w/o title. I hear horror stories about getting titles in California. Have you checked with the DMV about it?
Don't take his word......remember "buyer beware". You could have truck gone but a car you can't drive....maybe ever!

Bass boat makes more sense than a 4 door caddy that don't run with no title...

    Haha! Good points!

I thought Sgt_Slacker was just your screen name, and now realize that you are active!

    Thanks for your service.

I would have still asked her thoughts first, because she, like my wife, is probably the boss!

If the paperwork is legit and you DEFINITELY can get title in your name this is a no-brainer.

I'd do the swap then work out the paperwork.

I've been involved in the automotive industry in Southern California for many years and had a lot of title work done. Possession is 9/10s of the law.

PM me and I can give you the name of at least one automotive title professional in So Cal.

  19. Good decision. I jumped on a similar deal back in the 80's. I traded my POS '72 Ford Courier for a triple black '67 Caddy ragtop. It needed a tranny rebuild and new tires but it still was very driveable. The guy advertised in the local Recycler needing a mini-truck. I called him up and drove over to see it. We looked over each others vehicles, swapped pinks and I drove home in the Caddy.
