Moe! Ok, HAMB standard introduction #2, "I've been lurking since..."

The Primer/Hop Up board went away.

I remember Mikey in Bend who made the T-shirts. Has he been heard from since he bought the shoebox? Maybe someone should check under it!

I remember "traileredcars****" intro-ing and immediately being renamed Trailer Ed.

I'm bad with names, but I remember shortly thereafter Trailer's brother (?) Bobble intro-ing. Why anyone would want to use the name Bobble Ed was beyond me.

I remember Tman trying do decide whether to work in the bike shop or the hot rod shop.

I remember 48Hemi before he mellowed out (?), cut his hair, and changed his name the first time (he's an ok guy to be around).

I remember lots of drama and members being kicked out, coming back, kicked out again, and one here for the third time (it's a charm).

So much for memories...who am I?

I have a raggedy-*** pickup (pic attached, hopefully) that I bought in 88 and have modified everything on at least twice.

I have a raggedy-*** Model A Fordor (pics coming, hopefully) that I hand-built.

I have a '46 Ford panel truck someday project sitting under cover.

I have a '29 Model A pickup waiting to be ***embled.

My house was built in 1945.

The cook book I use the most was published in 1947.

I mostly listen to old blues, early Muddy Waters, Lightnin' Hopkins, Howlin' Wolf, etc.

    Mike

    P.S. Merry Christmas!

Welcome back, Mike. As a fellow "ex" Oregonian and a lakes modified builder, I salute you.
I was wondering about Mikey from Bend too. Maybe he moved over "the mountain" to the mossback side and just dissolved in the moisture...

  6. Man I gotta get out of the distant Hills of Van Wa more often. I've been in the same neighborhood for 50+ years and don't recognise any of your cars or back drops. I do however know the Salt Flat Rat and the owner personally.
Welcome, let's get together for a beer and bench racin.

Is that a banger under the hood of the mod? Any engine close ups for a banger fan?

    Rocky: thanks!

Pist-n-Broke: the Russian church is between Portland & Salem, east of I-5, the show pic is from the "Northwest Car Collectors' Show (and swapmeet)" this last October. Oh, sure, I do like to bench race.

kentucky: it's a "mocked-up" banger with all the goodies hanging on a broken block. Fresh B coming 'really soon now', goodies to include Weiand finned head, Zepher manifold with twin 81's, Red's header, Mallory, etc. I'll post pics of the real engine 'real soon now'.

  9. WOW! I even forgot that little detail about myself! [IMG] Happy to report I am approaching year #3 at the Hot Rod shop! Outlasted 3 bookeepers, maybe I ran them off from my lack of organization?

Velkommen, I miss PRIMER! also [IMG]

Man you have a good memory. Many HAMBers I have met over the last couple years asked why I go by Trailer-Ed, or T-Ed, but At times I still like to go by Traileredcars****! Welcome aboard, and way cool rides. Great intro as well! Happy holidays. Trailer-Ed

Wizz: tell the SFR's owner that I'll be cutting up the '32 roadster dash of the gentleman [IMG] mentioned in my PM next Thursday afternoon at the Killingsworth shop. If'n ya ain't doin' nothing and if he is so inclined, have him drag you along.

BTW, has anyone noticed that the Salt Flat Rat has a full page picture in Peter Vincent's beautiful new book? Unfortunately, he hasn't a clue as to who owns it. Is Ted Bowen a SloPok?

What a F-tard. Drags up a 7 year old post and then posts on it for his second post, and then contradicts himself by saying he works on cars and not read BS on the web.

Wait, didn't his BS post revive this long dead post?

Geez... some people's children these days.
