Ok,searched around and didn't find much so here it goes.......

I want to run an aux fuel filter on my car like an Fram hpg-1 but i don't want to buy a new Mallory,or Fram one because it just wont look right to me. So my question is,what were guys/racers using in the late 60's? I have seen some mid to late 60s Trans-am cars with them but they look like new ones, also seen Bendix ones along with other aircraft types but that seems to be more on 40s or 50s cars?

Heres a pic if I confused anybody with what i'm talking about.

Any help would be appreciated, feel free to post pics of yours if you got some cool set-up.
